Feydhoo Uthuru Steering Committee Members Participate in PNC Congress 2026

Members of the PNC Feydhoo Uthuru Steering Committee travelled from Addu City to Malé to represent the constituency at the PNC Congress 2026.
The delegation travelled to Malé on 12 September ahead of the main Congress sessions, which were held from 15 to 18 September, bringing together party representatives and delegates from across the Maldives.

Feydhoo Uthuru representatives actively participated in the Congress and its proceedings, contributing to important decisions concerning the party’s leadership, internal structure and future direction.

Among the major decisions taken during the Congress was the approval of a resolution granting President Dr Mohamed Muizzu the PNC presidential ticket for the 2028 Presidential Election. The resolution was unanimously approved by the 1,119 members present.

The Congress also held elections for key positions within the party’s organisational structure, including vice-presidential and Members’ Council positions, while newly elected officials and members of party bodies were formally sworn in.

Another important part of the Congress was the consideration and approval of changes to the party’s internal rules and regulations, alongside discussions on strengthening the party’s organisational structure and future direction.

Participation in the Congress provided the Feydhoo Uthuru delegation with an important opportunity to represent the constituency at the national level, engage with party members from across the country and take part in key decisions shaping the future of the PNC.

The Feydhoo Uthuru branch extends its appreciation to all steering committee members who travelled from Addu City and represented the constituency throughout the Congress.
